Teams will be placed into either the National or American Classification based on overall record, strength of competition, game scores, run differential, and other tournament statistics. Once a team has qualified for either the National or American Classification, that classification will remain in place for Sub-State, State, and Tournament of Champions play.

The top 50–60% of teams in each classification will qualify for the State Tournament. The exact number of qualifying teams may vary based on the total number of teams participating in the classification.

Teams may choose to compete in a higher classification but may not compete in a lower classification than the one for which they qualify.

If there are a sufficient number of Rec Select teams participating, a separate division titled Rec Select All-Stars will be created. Teams competing in the Rec Select All-Stars division will not cross over into the National or American All-Star classifications.

Each classification will have a single Gold Bracket Championship. There will be no Silver, Consolation, or secondary championship brackets awarded. All teams will compete toward the same championship bracket within their respective classification, ensuring that every game has meaningful impact on tournament standings and advancement.

The State Championship Tournament serves as the qualifying event for the Tournament of Champions.

The 1st Place and 2nd Place teams in each classification will earn a berth to the Tournament of Champions. The State Champion (1st Place) will receive a free entry fee to the Tournament of Champions, while the State Runner-Up (2nd Place) will receive an automatic qualification berth.

Teams will compete within their established classification (National, American, or Rec Select All-Stars, if applicable). Once a team has qualified for a classification, they will remain in that classification throughout championship play.
